Scuba (self contained breathing apparatus) diving is a type of underwater diving that uses a scuba set to breathe underwater. This is different to earlier diving because it has a lot more freedom, due to the diver not being held back by the weight of the older diving suits and not having an air line from the surface getting in the way. Scuba divers or divers in general usually use swim fin’s to help propel themselves while underwater.

What Equipment Would You Need To Go Scuba Diving?
When doing a basic dive you do not need a very complicated equipment list. All you would really need is: Mask and Snorkel Combo

Swim Fins
Weight Belt Air Tank
Buoyancy Control Device
Regulator
History
Scuba history starts in Paris in 1942-1943 when the aqualung was invented by two Frenchman, Emile Gagnan (engineer) and lieutenant de vasseau Jacques-Yves Cousteau. The aqua lung used a system in which compressed air was inhaled from the tank and then expelled into the water. Even though that was the first Scuba set, Scuba regulators originated in Australia where Ted Eldred Developed the very first one and it was called the porpoise. These two inventions developed together and they became what we see Scuba divers wearing today.
